The Royal Bamoun Museum is an art and history museum located in Foumban, in the West Region of Cameroon. It is dedicated to the presentation and conservation of art and history objects from the Bamoun Kingdom, a federation of ethnic groups that has existed for over six centuries. The museum is built near the Bamoun Sultans' Palace, the residence of the Sultan of the Bamoun, and is distinguished by its original and symbolic architecture.

A museum dedicated to the history of the Bamoun kingdom, one of the oldest in sub-Saharan Africa, was inaugurated in Cameroon on Saturday, April 13. This 5,000 m2 museum, located in Foumban, the kingdom's historic capital, tells the story of six centuries of Bamoun history through a collection of 12,500 pieces.
